Overview:
This 8-hour course trains on the components involved in a successful Kaizen or continuous improvement event. As part of Kaizen training several Lean topics will be reviewed at a high level to introduce the student to potential tools for implantation during the Kaizen event, depending on the scope of Kaizen.
Course Outline:
The Kaizen training incorporates the following topics:
• Planning or preparation work required prior to conducting Kaizen event
• Team selection
• Developing Kaizen scope
• Facilitation and agenda of Kaizen event
• Kaizen follow-up activities
Upon completion student should be able to conduct a successful event.
Training for Credit:
Students who successfully complete the training course will be eligible to receive .5 college credit(s).
Assessment:
Assessments (pre and post) will be administered to document understanding of material presented during training session.
